This is my first post. I am from Lancaster but will be moving this summer to the Pittsburgh area. I spend a lot of time in the Pittsburgh area as my wife has family in the area. I have never been ice fishing but made up my mind that I was going to start. Seems like it is a blast. This last weekend was suppose to be my first trip but the guy that was going to show me the ropes had a change of plans and back out, so I never got to go. We were going to go to Glade Run which is south of Butler. I still have a lot of equipment to get for ice fishing but I am starting to get what I need. Do hope to get on the ice soon. Should be posting a lot more on here. It's a great site

Welcome! This is a great site to get information off of. The conditions pages are awesome during the season and when the ice is gone for the year the rest of the site helps to keeps the shakes away!! Good luck and holler if you need anything.

Welcome, this is a great site for info.  I've fished Glade Run a few times, good through the ice. 

If you're going to be in the area our fishing club The Keystone Crappie Association is going to have our first ever on ice fish together on Sunday February 8th on Conneaut lake.  A few of us have extra equipment we'll be lending to those that don't have it but want to try ice fishing.  You're welcome to join us on the hard water.

If you want more info just let me know.
