You can have good days and bad ones there.  Never know. I went today and jigged perch and picks all day, no pike.  Who knows.
I did manage to catch a dog. Well, he caught me! He was running on the ice, mile after mile. No collar, no tags. Didn't warm up to anyone out there but me. Why is it always me?  Gave him some lunch, he jumped into the front seat of the truck to melt the ice balls from his feet. Then we drove around for 2 hours looking for his home. An older lady on the road told me his name and where he lives.  Also told me they dont look after him all that well. She said the dog would be better off going home with me! Poor dog was asleep on the front seat and didn't want to get out of the truck.  I had to pull him out and send him up the driveway. I've had second thoughts ever since.
I dont steal dogs but if he cant stand his owners and wants to follow a fisherman home, I wont stop him next time.  >:(

I think I'll give it another shot wed afternoon.I'm not sure how much the storm and full moon effects ice fishing.I know in the spring and summer it can be slow fishing during a full moon.Maybe I just hit the wrong spot on the lake.Hope to do better this week. It's a shame that the dog owner is not paying attention to his pet.The dog seems to enjoy the lake.

The ice is fine. I was the first idiot to walk across the middle and I'm still here.
The two problems you will have are nasty temp. and winds on Friday, and the fact that most people are not catching much yet. >:(
