Muskegon Lake or Blue Lake
« on: Jan 05, 2009, 05:51 PM »
I am looking to do a little fishing this up coming weekend and wanted to know if anyone had any good fishing report on Muskegon Lake or Blue Lake for pike and walleye?  I haven't been out yet this season and I want to get something going!

Quality? or Quantity?

No size limit on Blue lake for pike.

Better have a good leader if you're in the right spots on Muskegon.  I havent been out this year there yet but it doesnt matter...the bigguns eat all the time.

I wouldn't say on fire. My dad and I fished on Wednesday and worked our butts off for 35 fish between the two of us. Most people that I talked to had between 5 and 15 fish. I'm not trying to put a damper on things, just letting you know that Wed. was pretty slow.

fished muskegon today from 11am until 3:00 they turned on at about noon and I had trouble keeping two poles in the water. ended with 25 nice 9-11" perch and many little ones got thrown back. nice day to be out. back at it tomarrow morning looks to be about the same weather wise im sure it will be busy :o

I may be out at the Sand Docks tomorrow. I have heard some conflicting reports on the fish so I guess I'll just have to figure it out for myself!
