I made my trip to La Porte and no one even gave me a little help with the fishing.  So I went to Warsaw fished Pike lake caught a couple out from the rest rooms.  Had a guy and kid come out and they wanted to know about ice fishing .  That was the only interaction all 2 days.   Thanks.

I believe its hard for people to HELP if they are not going to the same lake as you. Sarcasm is certainly not the answer, one catches more flies with honey.

Sounds like your day could not have been much better!! I love the peace, tranquility and serene environment upon the ice!! It is even better when everyone stays away and leaves me alone to ponder lifes trials and tribulations without interuption!! Sounds like you had a blessed day!! Be thankful for sure.

I guess this is a not so sarcastic thanks.  Was fishing yesterday at Pirates cove on the Salamonie.  The ice or sleet storm came and stupidly I kept fishing, well to make a long story short I was stuck in the parking spot when I tried to leave and without the help of two great individuals I would have been in a real predicament.  They pushed and shoved until I could get some traction and leave.  When I thanked them, The one guy said--- sorry I didn't get a name replied, " what we do and suffer to icefish".  I don't know if they belong to this site or not, but if they do thanks a bunch!!!     Jeff

Sorry Stonecold, I thought about inviting you over to Loomis in Valpo but didn't because I wasn't sure of my plans. I like fishing with others and missed the opportunity. Sounds like your work brings you up north at times. Next time send me a pm and we'll get out.

I would have loved to join you in Laporte but had to work and do the "family" thing. You can tell when we start to get good ice because people arent spending as much time posting, they're fishing more.
