How's Muskoka area doing?
« on: Dec 16, 2008, 03:39 PM »
Hey all -- been away for a week, and WOW has the traffic on this board ever increased :D  Just wondering if anyone has an idea on the state of the lakes in the Muskoka region -- I've heard that there's lots of snow...

yep..finally took my honeymoon, so I've been in Cuba for the last week kicking myself for not bringing the fishing rod :D  Ah well...I think I'm going to drive up to Muskoka this weekend and at least shovel off mom'n'dad's roof....and hope to hit my goal of "first walleye through the ice" early  :)  I'll keep everyone posted if this happens, of course!  Simon -- Muskoka is about 1.5 hrs south of North Bay....it's the region between Huntsville and Gravenhurst...where the smoke from T.O. just tapers off on a warm summers day   :-\

This is today South of Gravenhurst. I'm sure the smaller lakes are good to go. Guess you won't know for sure till you get there.
