aqua-vu battery
« on: Jan 26, 2004, 10:50 AM »
I get about 5-6 hors of usage time out of a fully charged  battery. My question is can I hook a car battery directly using jumper wires or do I have to have the cigarette lighter adapter.

Although I don't have one, I'm sure that if it uses a 12 volt battery you can hook it up however you want to a full size battery. The only benefit I can see to using the adapter is that it may have a fuse built into it, which would be a good idea if you wired it direct, too, just slip in an in-line fuse holder to the B+ wire near the battery connection.

HAMADOG? how old is your batterey? jezz i got the z-60 in feb this yr and sometimes use it on 2 consecutive 5-6 hrs days w/o chging..i usually chg it for every hr i use it but never went dead yet on me, the one day it did get low, and the black lines started creeping in from the sides of screen....i use a voltage meter (needle type) to check it when i get home and then chg it, if its fully chged it wil read about 13.5 volts almost to 14 on meter, i got my meter at walmart 9.99
