bulk bait
« on: Dec 13, 2008, 02:19 PM »
where might one find wax worms, spikes, and mousies to buy in bulk (1000, 500)
Prefer local (within 75-100 miles of reed city, mi 49677) but mail order would be fine too.

thanks

Make your own...Around the end of Oct. find a dead coon and or deer....Dig a 3 ft hole.  Then put wire mesh over the hole so nothing can bother the rotting carcases.  Wait a while till it gets cold and take all the bones and fur out of the hole.  Fill the the with straw so it doesn't freeze.  Go out and dig around in the pit when bait is needed and viola...instant free spikes

Ya but, don't they stink?  Nothing smells worse than them smelly spikes you get out of your trash can.

No these aren't ghetto spikes......... :o

You dig them out of the dirt......how do you think spikes are made....they just wave a ice rod over a empty skoal can and bladow!...fish bait.

vados is best if you can get a few guys together and order bulk. much cheaper than jada. jada would be cheaper for smaller orders. we ordered 5000 waxies and 10000 spikes ($8.50 for shipping) it was about $70 less than it would have been from jada and vados offers colored spikes

See you on the frozen pond.......Mike
