OK!
Some might get a kick out of this idea!

Made 2 of my own downsized Slammers for 28" ice-fishing rods last year.

Slammer trips, goes CLACK, and flag goes up.
Thought about attaching a siren to go off when it's tripped.
Instead I got 2 of those battery operated singing greeting cards.
One plays the "Hampster Dance Tune" and the other plays "Who Let The Dogs Loose".
Was easy enough to rig for tripping.
Only had the "Hampster Tune" Slammer go off (Pickerel) but what a riot to hear that music travel across the ice!

Had 4 guys fishing close by come over to figure out "What the heck??"

We all got a good laugh and made new friends.

Yeah! Thought it was a novel idea.

Looking forward to giving them another try this season!

Good thing the batteries are replaceable.
Looking for other nutty loud tunes to use!

I had a tipdown set up with a mercury switch from an old thermostat and a tiny beeper from...I can't remember what....powered with a AA battery. It emitted a beeping sound when the tip down dropped. I gave it to a friend. It drove me nuts.

I like the musical alarm though...that's a kick

Did you build your "Slammers" from a kit or are they "DIY". I've been pondering tinkering up a couple for this season.

Hmmmm, a pondering tinkerer......

My Slammers are DIY.
Downsized to fit a 28" ice rod with bait reel.
Work real good.
