Venison urination

Guys the title comes from an Old fishing buddy that is fishing every day now where ever we end up . This recipe , marinade is real simple and easy to adjust for large or small gatherings, and works wonders on the ice !  Start with a lb of good venison cubed in 1 inch peices . I usually season the meat with a little salt , pepper , and some garlic powder . Next in a bowl mix 1/4 olive oil , 1/4 cup cooking sherry , 1/4 cup soy sauce , and 1/4 brown sugar . Add a few cloves of crushed garlic and a bam of Emirils . Add the meat and let sit overnite . Next morning skewer the cubes add veggies if you like , store back in marinade until ready to cook and enjoy !    A couple things that I do for subsitutions is to use 1/4 of real maple syrup instead of brown sugar or because I make my own wine I use that instead of cooking sherry . OK, a real reply!  Sounds great!  I'd make my own wine, but it locks up my carboy for way too long (home brew!!)  Recipe sounds tasty too - Tight lines -

Thanks getrdone , hey just need to get another carboy . Right now Ive got 5 going ! 2 reds for hunting camp (You kill one , we get one!) , one white for the wife , a special red for me , and a batch of hard cider for the ice next year .

Add a little ginger to that recipe and you would have the makings of a Korean Bar-b-que recipe.  I love that stuff!  I think the garlic and soy sauce does a great job neutalizing any gamey flavor the meat might have.

Hard cider:

Buy a 50 gallon wooden barrel of cider in the fall.
Take 1 gallon out for the wife, put the barrel on its side on a stand.
Add 20 pounds of brown sugar and 12 pounds of honey.
Put a tube in the bung and into an air lock. 
Open in May and hang onto your hat.
We usually put some stabilizer in it after we tap it.

Wines easy! Just have to have sterile or clean containers !  First go to a shop that sells kits and do that a couple of times to get the idea , after that you can get juice from either a winery or a local food distributor and just add yeast ! You can make small batches from anything ?   Dandelion juice (you boil the flowers only) , apples , berries , whatever !!
