havnt hear of the ice conditions on Wabasis but it is probably ok, most lake have 6-7 inches with a 4-6 inch layer of slush on top.  makes for hard walking but should be ok.  after this cold the slush should harden up an make things a little easier

I was on Wabasis for a couple of hours last Saturday afternooon.  Tough walking with 3"
or more of weak crust and slush on top.  There was 5 or 6 inches of good ice under the
slush.   That should be frozen by now.  Hard walking kept me at the west end by the park
and I didn't find the fish at any depth.  Didn't really see any caught while I was there.
