i just ordered it last week from glens, it should come today.  my first flasher, from what i understand the lx-2 has variable bottom zoom (5 or 10'), more power, and a case.  and with it on sale it only cost 25-30 dollars more than vx-1. the best price i found for vx-1 (245.96) was on redrockstore.com then it has $30.00 factory rebate.  the case alone is worth the price of lx-2. i'll let you now when i receive if everything went smoothly from glens.
