« on: Jan 07, 2008, 04:35 AM »
Anyone want to move to Alaska with me?  the temps. today are supposed to be 65!!!!!  Tomorrow it's supposed to be 62!!!!  this is ridiculous.  The ice will be gone.  I'ts supposed to be in the low 30's or upper 20's at the end of the week.  Oh well, I guess I'll pick up the ol browning 20 guage and go shoot some more bunnies!!!

every year it seems we go through this, and it's crazy.  most ice will be gone and we will have to start all over again.  winter's are not what they used to be, that's for sure.  i remember back about 8-10 years ago you could plan a trip to go ice fishing, now you can't even do that, cause the weather always changes.
when fisherman fish alone, do they really catch fish??

Guess thats global warming? It used to get many times thru winter here down to -40 and stay that way for weeks but not anymore. It did hit -40 last year once then warmed to -30 in 2 days following. I haven't seen above freezing temps here since late Nov and I'm OK with that. -11 here right now and 2 feet of ice but that will grow some then be gone by early May.

I don't care who drives!!!  lets just get out of here!!!!!!!   :)  I can see in the near future that I won't even have to winterize my bass boat because I'll be able to use it all year.  I'm not asking for much, 5 inches of good solid ice would suffice me!!!!

same here, i not asking for a foot of ice, just a good solid 6-8 inches on lakes and i will be happy!  no clue as too what's going on with these mild temps year after year!  i am tired of 2 months of ice fishing.  if i lived in ohio or kentucky, i could understand that, but michigan!  come on now.  well everything comes with an era, like the ice age way back, so hopefully we don't get that cold, but maybe the weather will shift a little before i die and i can enjoy a good 3-4 months of ice fishing.

We can send you some ice if you would like? We accept all major credit cards, paypal, money orders, cashiers checks and plain old green cash ;D

If you plan to come up here? You must send pictures of all your ice fishing, hunting and other outdoors equipment and bring a sufficient amount of money no less the 10,000 American and be able to make it through Canada and not get arrested due to suspicious activities of having all that stuff in your vehicle.

Good Luck, I'll be here :icefish: away on hard water til May ;D

Wait a minute!  You know the rules, let me quote a page from the official book of lower 48 shipping rules via the great white north.  You can't send ice to "the states" because the shipping and handling fees are much to expensive for us to eat! ;D ;D ;D  On the other hand, we will ship mosquito's for free! ;)
