There are a couple that have been fishing it.  I went opening day and got a couple sub-legal lakers.  Neal got a couple nice rainbows and a good sized laker that day.  You may want to check with him as far as ice thickness goes.

Last weekend I was out on silver lake behind chicks lumber and we are on about 10 inches of ice, half honey comb ice and half perfect clear black ice. I saw quite a few snowmobile tracks out there as well. plenty for walking, I think I'd start to consider bringing a sled or quad on the ice about now. Make sure you talk to a local before venturing out on some of the bays, really nasty springs and inlets on the lake especaily with the snow, you would have no clue. I can point out a few spots that probably have less then 2 inches right now. be careful.

I fished the boat ramp end Sunday. There was probably 7" of ice 3' snow ice 4' good. There was a guy and his kids out on a quad with out any problems best part was no snow on the ice. I caught a 13" and 17" Rainbow in 2' of water great colors on the fish. I'll be there Sat. Art

Yes plenty of parking enough for 15- 20 cars You have to fight with snowmobile trailers but still plenty of parking.
