SOUTH QUINNS OMPAH

 Have had great luck in this lake. probably because it is only accesible by snowmobile or ATV. lake is full of brook trout, stocked every couple of years. Last trip in me and a couple of buddys caught 38 specs including a couple 3.5lbs  Have heard of a 5lber caught through the ice as well   anyone else fish this lake.                        chad

Ya I know the lake....  I tried to get into north Quinn on Jan 1st but I ended up just burying my ATV       How did you make out?

 havent fished the quinns this year yet. more people seem to fish the south quinns, i have fished them both and found the south quinns to be better. probably the trail into south quinn will be more beaten downand i have drove my ATV in there in the past but i prefer to take my snowmobile in the winter. i park at the fish santuary at cononto lake and it is about 20km from there on snowmobile the last 7km is the rough trail off of the main snowmobile trail. does the entrance into the north quinn still have the old gas pump sitting on the side of the trail. good luck         chad

I think the pump is still there at the north entrance but not %100 sure!  I got a line on a cheap sled so if everything works out i might just be fishing some trout this winter after all
