Waxworms stink
« on: Mar 09, 2007, 06:33 PM »
Purchased 30 waxorms or so in a plastic container.  Placed waxworms in a closet for 2 - 3 weeks.  All alive but DAMN what a stink.  Smells somewhat like ammonia.

You need to keep them at a cooler temp , like the butter compartment in the fridge , I personally hit the garage sales and picked up an old small dorm room style fridge and put it in the basement , keep a few cold ones stashed away also ! That way you could also buy them by the thousand and save quite a bit of money . One reccomedation is dont leave any spikes in a container in a vest pocket ! First year I was able to blame it on something else , second year in a row wife figured it out and I got an earful , such is the life we lead !They are a pretty blue fly though  ;) ;) :o
I spent all my money on fishin, huntin, and beer  , everything else was just a waste!
