Sault Ste. Marie help
« on: Feb 12, 2007, 03:59 PM »
I live in soo michigan and was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of some lakes. The only place I have fished was up towards Wawa and Chapleau and am looking for some where a little closer. I am mostly interested in pike, walleye, and perch but it would be nice to find some trout also. Not looking for someones secret spot just a name would be great. Also does anyone know where I can find a decent map of the area. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Are you walking or using a snowmachine? There are hundreds of lakes but only a few that you can walk to,? Hey Flock shot I used to live on Chambers Ave too Last lived there 26 years ago.

It would be nice if i can bring a snowmobile but i'm not sure yet. I'll most likely be walking this year since there isn't a whole lot of winter left and I probably won't be able to even do that very many times, at least untill the smelt start running.

I don't know if I want to head that far north right now. Maybe next year I will do a little more exploring. Does anyone know where I can find a decent map of the area around the soo.

i live in the Soo Trapper. As far as walleye go here there are a few lakes close to town rock lake, gordon lake, desbarast lake a few others. There are way more trout opportunities here then walleye. PM if you want and let me know how far you want to go and i am sure i can point you in the right directions for walleyes, pike, perch, specks or lakers.....
