Pike and musky
« on: Jan 26, 2007, 12:08 AM »
I typically never fish musky waters, my question is do you people that fish in areas that have both pike and musky catch them side by side thru the ice, since they are such close reletives it seams like there would be people catching them on there tip ups? I never see them on boards here? WHY???? blake

I think northerns are easier to target. Maybe because northern aren't as "smart" as muskies or that northerns breed and survive better than Muskies making them smarter. In most of our lakes niether one will reproduce like they do up in mn. I love to see that flag fly when I have a 8" bait on in mn won't fish with a 8" bait down here just wasting a line lol

There is little lake by us that we sometimes go and catch muskies with tipups using the biggest suckers that we can find then cut most of the tail off. The fishing seems to be kind of slow for them though one or two a day is a good day for me
