I have (3) Nor'Easters and (2) Heritage Lakers.
2nd season with the Nor'Easters, 1st with the Heritage (I had Worth Pop-Ups previously - still use them too).

I prefer the Heritage. I like the heavy plastic/graphite spool. My fingers don't freeze to it & there's hook holes for storage after winding. I think the flag trip components are better.

They both are a heavy duty tip-ups. I went with the Nor'Easters last year because I thought I would like the metal spool better. The overall tip-up quality is very good, but I'm not impressed with the metal reel. It is fairly thin sheet metal. The reel handle knob & flag trip knob are wobbly (not attached very firmly to the spool). I've had to lubricate the flag trip wire & tube (Marvel Mystery oil - no room for grease), this year because the trip wire would squeek & stick. However, the drag system & wood quality is excellent.

Just my .02

I have used both the nor'easters and heritage lakers and I prefer the heritage.  They are usually a couple dollars cheaper than the nor'easters

Just bought another Heritage.
Kittery Trading Post (Maine) ice fishing gear sale - $11.99 (unfinished) / $13.99 (2-tone wood, varnished).
They have a website but no internet catalog.
However, they will do mail order.

One more thing.
I store/transport/carry these spring type tip-ups in a little league baseball bat/gear bag with the spring flags out straight. I don't store them with the spring flags in the ready (bent) position. I'm afraid the spring will take a permanent set.

I like my Heritage Lakers a lot, but I think the one Jack Trap that I've got is the best quality construction out of all my tipups.  I also have 2 Tip-n-spins.  I didn't know how the long term durability would be when I first got them, but they're doing well after about 5 seasons.  guys laugh at them but I can't help it, its fun to watch them turn.
