EAST ALLEN
« on: Jan 22, 2007, 03:30 PM »
Went to east Allen on sat. and caught two nice sized yellowstone cut's and missed a few. Went to move to deeper water and the ice auger broke. >:( :( So we didn't see many fish but they were biting on anything that was jigging. mealworm's and rapala's.  ;D

just to let people know the fish we actually caught were small. One was 12.5 and the other about 9.5 but the ones we missed and saw swiming by the holes were 18-20 inches. We were in about 10 ft of water.

It is kinda hard to get to you will have to drive a 4x4 for sure to get to the lake. The good thing is that the snow is so frozen that you can drive over most drifts.

I've driven by there a million times and never stopped.  Maybe I'll try it at ice-off!  Thanx-
