Good news and better news...

My Grandson Ryan, in the U.S.Army, (go Army), is home from Iraq, after two tours, in one piece !!! Hoo-Rah. He's back in Texas for now with his wife and two children, Ayden & Anna Mae, and hopefully he'll able to get back up here to the lands of ice and snow in time to fish at Caroga Lake with me and his Dad, the Patient Frank.

We talked to him on the 'phone the other night while we were cutting up venison to make jerky to send to him and my Grandaughter Jennifer who's in the U.S.Air Force. Great Kids.

Ryan's wife Marissa is trying to get him re-initiated into Home life in different ways, like making him go to bed instead of sleeping standing up leaning on his rifle and eating at a table sitting down, things like that. His social graces leave something to be desired though. He was sleepily trying to answer some of her questions regarding the proper way to enter a room full of guests and said, "Throw in a grenade then enter with a full clip and backup.

How long till he can get out and get back to being a dad, husband, son, grandson.  8)

GREAT NEWS! Although I don't know you folks (yet), I wish to sincerely thank your family for their patriotic service to our country. God Bless! Maybe I'll see you on Caroga this season. I live in Saratoga County & usually go to the tournament on Caroga.

I've given Ryan the heads up on the thanks and thank you's. He's still innocent enough to be a bit embarrased and shy by all the attention he feels he doesen't deserve but does send his appreciation. We're hoping to get him up from Texas to Caroga at least. Thanks again folks, I have M U C H to be thankfull for.
