Hub Shelter takedown
« on: Sep 07, 2023, 10:44 AM »
Found this video very informative ...

I do like the Nite Ize 64 in. Gear Tie in Black instead of the cinch strap

I'd be the one to forget the strap and dig around the collapsed hub for it!  :roflmao:

Seriously, I bought an Eskimo hub last year, and when I used it, it rode in the back of my suv like a broken umbrella on the way home lol. I'm going to practice this in my yard when it's windy.

Thanks for the link!

I have a 949i that's a few years old and I swear the compression strap isn't long enough to go around my thigh, let alone the collapsed shelter. When he was working on the 350XD and pulled out that 5 foot long compression strap I just laughed.

He forgot to mentioned the most important step.  Make sure you always remember to remove the two door reinforcement poles first.  Cuz it's a total _______ if you forget that.

I set up my 949i to air it out and try this method. My cinch strap is 38 inches long and doesn't have a D ring, just velcro.
It folded up a little better but with the insulated material it's still tough.
I wish I had the zippered backpack bag, that would help.
