Went out yesterday, what a beautiful day to be on the ice. No gloves or hat , full sun and even 5 fish.

Went out today with my son. Had to deal with some water on top, but found good ice and caught a few fish. Beautiful day, no hat or gloves, it was nice to not have to lug the shanty out either.

Went out today. First time in a couple years (Covid in the family put a damper on last years trips).

Was standing on 8-9” of ice; 4” black ice. Caught some small dink perch and my dad caught a pickerel. Not bad for 3hrs but won’t be having a fish dinner tonight. Still nice to get out and get the lines tight

Got out a couple days early this week.  Great ice over 8 inches that is now toast.  Small pike and a few good perch. Got a chance to use some new gear.  Black Betty freefall combo I got for 80 dollars on sale last year.   I like it so far. Definitely the most expensive set up I have purchased.  Hoping for colder temps.

Been out twice in this week. Monday 26th and yesterday. Lost two fish on Monday. Jigged up a 16inch small mouth. Yesterday caught a 30.5 inch northern and my son got a 12.5 inch small mouth. 2-3 inches of water on the ice yesterday with a good 8 inches of ice. This weather is not looking good

Got out on 27th and 28th. Two 20.5” smallies trying to fish for trout, couple pickerel, bunch of dink perch, a few smelt, and a 23” laker.

that was fun while it lasted!! Found a nice slab of ice and some fish willing to play. Made it out twice in the last 3 days before everything turns to s***. Oh well makes goin back to work tomorrow morning a little easier I guess

Got on BB on the 31st before this weather cursed us all.  Had a pretty decent day, catching my personal best gill. He had already had a run-in with a pike or something, so I made sure it was his lucky day and let all 10"s of him go to fight another day.  This weather has tears running down my face as I have been on two lakes and was really having a good time of it.  Please old fish god in the sky,  some ice

Was able to get out on one of my favorite early season lakes last week before the ice went and caught some lakers and a brook trout which is always a great surprise. Took some nieces and nephews out on another adk lake for their first ice fishing trip and successfully got them on some perch, bass, and a walleye. No complaints other than this damn weather

I also saw that sunrise on the morning of Dec. 29 ( on Lake Champlain ) and I can confirm it was even more beautiful watched in person than any picture of it could capture. I have never seen such a contrast between the vibrant orange clouds and the teal colored sky. My son and I admired it for 10 minutes while unloading the car and then it was gone. What a way to start the day.
