Nice has the middle locked up yet? I might hit long or loomis after work tonight. I haven’t been over to flint yet this year so I don’t know where the sketchy spots are so I won’t be exploring after dark.

Just got some windows open to ice fish first n last time maybe this Thurs. Well see probably heading to Lake Eliza. Checked ice at Loomis n Flint Monday. Had about 2in water 3 to 4 slush snow and 7 to 8 of decent? Ice on both. I checked a small pond in South Haven, shouldn't have though, 2in n could poke thumb in the middle of it.

Went on flint today it is a mess and shore was melting and fast had to ask a local if I could walk off his dock. Doubt it will hold up at least at shore. It is an absolute mess. Be safe everyone.

Went to L. Eliza Thursday afternoon. Bought from the State,? Private Property signs everywhere and a gate, too bad. Lake has a great history. Old Indian camp ground. Then fun resort n camp area. So, went to a small lake for the first time on Porter Laporte line. Did personal best, nothing great for some, still learning. (2 to3 local trips a year x 5yrs) Size was good,, like a present coming out of the hole.Went out Friday on same in sleet n rain 3 dinks. Good ice Friday, Today
Gills 3 to 6pm, Crappie 7 to 9pm.

Thanks Hex, Well I threw the clue n you guessed right GreyGills. There is 2 Clear Lks in Laporte so ppl know. There is one by Pine n Stone too.. gills off the west brush 8fow,Willows?, and nice crappie off the east willows 10 to 15 fow somtimes suspended at 6fow. Gets deep quick on the east end. Fished a while w some good icfishermen from Plymouth, Thad n Dick, father n son. Then about 4 locals.
