got up North this Saturday

Went up to Walden this Saturday with my buddy matt and got the chance to bust a couple lips at my old favorite spot.. the bite was slow with lots of sight fishing.. Didn't see too many fish but the couple that we got to taste our lures were good fish..one was a pretty 20 inch brown and then my buddy caught a 24 inch cutbow at the same time..the cutbow was super fat.. also caught a 22 inch cutbow but wasn't able to get a picture of her as we had to get her back in the water before we could get the phone turned back on. We had a great time as always and all fish were released to fight again another day.

Somewhat shocking to read Slayer salivating over what he would normally regard as Alpo on the hoof. Probably just the Grey Poupon talking through the haze.

"they're just trout says the guy holding a slimy little pike in his picture..lol..yea those are tough to catch. let's see some of your trout, and not lake trout, and lets see how many big ones you've caught since they are "just trout".. especially how many you've caught not using bait or during a tournament since tournament fishing is a different bird altogether as well..  lol

Says Mister "open water sucks!!!!!!!!". No question those are some massive. trophy fish and I've certainly never caught a trout nearly that big. But I have caught enough trout over

more than 40 years on the ice that I really don't care if I ever catch another one. Yeah, I know we live in trout country but, frankly, I'd rather chase pike through the ice while waiting

for open water when the hunt for big crappie, 'eyes, and cats begins. To each his own. Live and let live. Each man must decide for himself where beauty lies.

We have LOTS of pike in Minnesota. I just don't like fishing for them. Rather catch Lake Trout.

Never fish panfish either. Like walleyes.

well maybe next time someone post a fishing report maybe you should keep your "it's just a trout" comments to yourself since no one was really asking for your opinion on the type of fish i caught pretty much..  just saying.. i had no issues on the post until you had to say something like that for whatever reason..have a good day bro..
