pics last trip of the year .

Went back to the pond again this Sat.    The last day was the best day .  Sun and warm all day . Empty bait bucket again . Went through 50 baits on a variety of fish . Mostly pickerel , yellow perch , One hornpout and 3 chubs (Fallfish ? ) .   Great day and end to the season . See you on the open water .

Nice pics, I've never heard of anyone catching hornpout thru the ice.

ever tasted those (fallfish), they are really tastey, but a mouth full of bones in every bite. I had something manage to spool my trap in about 2 minutes of walking to the trap. pulled it up and felt like I hooked an outboard under the ice. never tasted one, didnt know what it was, so when in doubt, pan fry it. not bad at all
