I use a bosch 18 volt hammer drill and that works well. Just another option.
K drill recommends two drill manufacturer the Milwaukee 2703 or 2704 ...and the Dewalt 991 or 996 . I just upgraded from a refurb Dewalt 995 to a refurb Mil 2704 for my 8" Kdrill atop a Clam plate ...deals may be had both in new 2703/2704 and refurbished as Milwaukee is introducing a 2803 and 2804 to their line up ...I got my refurb from CPO outlet for $178 after a 10% off code about 3 weeks ago .
How much torque does it have?
I would look at the Dewalt. The way it looks the handle attaches with a wrap around instead of the garbage the Milwaukee uses. I have the Milwaukee and that idea is a piece of crap! The drill has been good but the brace handle sucks!
Quick question why go for the dewalt 996 if the updated rigid is putting out 750 inlbs ? According to this formula the 996 is about 765 inlbs what is that 15 inch pounds over the rigid ? The formula is speed in rpm times inch pounds torque. Divided by 560 wich is the constant k.. so mine looks like this 600x765/560=819.6428571uwo the 765 and the uwo 819.64 of the fomula changes but 600 and 560 are constants.. I found the rigid specs here ..https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-1-2-in-Compact-Brushless-Hammer-Drill-with-2-1-5-Ah-Batteries-and-Charger-R861162SB/304583628 The older specs are 700 inch pounds on the Gen 5x but seems it's 50 inch pounds bigger now.. at 750 inch pounds.. but cost for cost the rigid seems to be a better deal?? Cause lsa and price.. what every ones consenses on this? I know they bolth make good drills I am looking at price point and warranty along with quality.. I also own the rigid with the 750 inch pounds it turns my 7 inch mora I converted to laser blades.. would this be the better drill for this guy's question if it's a betree price??
