pontoosuc annual derby

usually theres a derby on pontoosuc aroudn this time of the year, anyone hear anything about it?

Just looked in the paper today, heres info on the pontoosuc derby
Sunday march 5th
5am-3pm
Register at american flag marker in the northwest cove off narragansett st btwn 6 and 9(no entrants after 9am)
Admission: Adults $10 Children under 14 $5

the paper said cash prizes, but there will probally be other prizes as well.

I'll be there. I have a black 4runner. I'll be with 1 more person. I had a lot flags at Onota derby. I had 3rd and 4th largest pic and 2nd largest bass. Caught a lot of pics some big perch on tipups and some small pike.

20% goes to a scholarship fund.  The rest goes to prizes by weight.  Not sure about fish kind.

we'll have the quads out, and probally our white dodge 1500.

The prizes are for biggest fish no particular species.  The payout is 1st-70%, 2nd-20%, 3rd-10%, of ticket sales after a cut off the top for the scholarship.

so who all is going to this sunday, Ill be getting out there around 4 am to get my spot on the lake as the derby starts at 5 and am sure it will be crowded, as it was last year.

 I'll be there sun between 4-5. I'll have a black toyota 4runner. going solo probably. my partner got frostbite. frostbite in his mouth. he got it sunday at onota during the derby. still looking for a redsox flag so i can drive on the ice with it.

love the toyota. it'a a 99 and paid off too. they hold their value and never recalls like american. also got a volvo s70gt. summer ride.

well tomarrows the big day, Ill be with a group of people near the itam, with 3 quads, Ill have a green honda. There will be 2 shanty's that "scrapp" will have and a nice fire going. good luck to all

So,  what won?

a 15lb pike, we got skunked, had bout 25 tipups out and my buddy got a nice perch, we were on the board that morning then got knocked off with bigger fish. was picking up and had a nice bass at the hole.heard a 4 wheeler went through by the small island.
