I have never fished Desolation. What’s in there? I know that it was starting to get crunchy by the shores way back when northern zone regular season was about to end

Mulleyville snowmobile club posted some photos on Dec 17th on their Facebook with the owner of Tinneys out on the lake with his snowmobile. With the up and down temps since then I would still be sketchy but would assume by the weekend it should be good if it isn't already.

the ice should be okay, but the fishing there is average at best in that dystrophic puddle.  We used to fish it first ice but don't even bother any more.   Put out some tipups and hope for the best!
