The itch has been scratched

Got out for an hour or so on Xmas eve at a local spot in methuen. Only one flag in the hour, but scored a nice little rainbow. Sent her back in the drink to grow and hopefully be caught again.

How much ice were you fishing on?

Did pretty good there last week. You look to be set up in the same area i was. Caught 3 bows and a perch. Heres 2 couldn't take a picture of the 3rd, phone had died. I spent about 3 hours there.

There was about 3.5 - 4 inches. I’m sure it’s thicker now with the cold weather we’ve gotten.

I may have been using your holes to be honest. There were a handful already drilled, I just used them because I was on a short time limit. There used to be decent bows in there seems to be only cookie cutters now. Over fished IMO

yes it is fished heavily during the spring and fall unfortunately. Most of the fish just dont get a chance to acclimate and grow because of that. Me personally i will throw everyone of them back i catch. And i use barbless hooks that way if they swallow it i can still get the hook out with out injuring the fish.
