Ok so the poles on my clam 2000 ice up and its really hard to open or wont open at all until it warms up, do you guys have this problem and does anyone have a fix for this? I was wondering if i greased them up maybe that would work? Any input is appreciated.

Take the poles apart and wax them up ! I use whatever car wax is handy .. this year its Mothers. Apply it a little on the heavy side. Let it dry and buff. You'll see a big difference. Good luck !

has anybody tried taking the poles apart and with a dremel, lightly sand the inside of one and the outside of the other...then apply the wax..I dont know if it will help, but it should.....

That would help if there were burrs, etc. in there and that's if they were near the end of the pole. Mine were clean and the wax alone works.  ;)
