Walleye at black lake?
« on: Feb 12, 2006, 08:09 AM »
I saw a few walleye caught up at mile arm bay with tip ups while the guys were fishing for pike,I have talked with a few of the guys up there and found out that they fish for them at night at the bay and was wondering if anyone on here has fished for them there? We are going to try for them in the next few weeks and would like to find out some inside info on the eyes there.I know that every different place I fish for eyes there are little secrets to catching them, you know like what colors or baits I should use.I would like to jig for them but we will also be putting out tipups to.Also if we go up maybe we could meet some of you guys up there.See you later guys and gals.

my crew has been getting a few eyes while jigging under a bobber for crappies. hot colors are purple/white,red/white and black/chartreuse, 1 or 2 in tube jigs. 1 was caught on a pike golden shiner under a big bobber. rapalas under low light conditions near rocks and or dropoffs. caught some in the green weeds to. they like flashy spoons and golden colored plugs to. hope this helps big dave, a true black lake vet, out.

Out at the mouth of Mile Arm, either side is deeper water....or head out to T island, it's the one you can see from Mile Arm, walleyes are there as well....never fished for them, but I've heard guys talking about where they're biting.....Esox
