The South Fitchburg Hunting and Fishing Club, located at 60 Warren Road in Townsend, Ma will be holding our 1st "ice-out" fishing derby on Saturday, April 22, 2006. The derby will run from 7:00-3:00. The fee to fish is $20.00 per entry,regardless of age. There are 7 cash prizes. 1st-$200.00 2nd-$100.00 3rd-$75.00 4th-$50.00 5th-$50.00 6th-$25.00 7th-$25.00.
(prizes are based on 100 entries) Prizes are for trout only. All trout stocked are 16" and over, although there are still some smaller ones left in the pond. We also run a pool for the biggest and smallest trout caught. Make sure you bring your own bait. No license is required, no fish limit. Breakfast and Lunch will be available.
