Navionics for tablet

I'm considering putting the Navionics app on my ipad.  Have it on my phone already but the bigger screen would be good plus I use my ipad as a screen/monitor for my underwater camera.  Anyone else use the app on a tablet?  The reason I'm asking is it is $50 for the tablet version.  Only $10 for phone but $50 for the tablet.  I love the app but not sure I want to spend $50 on it!  Anyone have feedback?  Thanks!

I have it and think it is great.  The price must have really gone up, as I don't remember paying that much for it, but I have the Boating US and Canada one on my iPhone and iPad.  Thought I paid the same price to use both.

Is your ipad a cell enabled version?  Mine is not but I can connect it to my phone via hotspot.  What I'm wondering is if you connect a tablet via a hotspot, will it accurately show your position on the lake?
