So i have heard the fishing on Portage has been pretty good. A few years ago we use to access it from the south side. It wasn't a designated state launch but it wasn't posted and it was clear many folks were using it. Wondering if anybody knows if thats still the case? We don't want to piss people off. Also Crystal Lake is locked up. We have been fishing the east end on 8 inches of ice. Decent perch bite off the marina. Heard of guys testing ice off of lobb and finding five inches out a few hundred yards. Still most of the lake i assume isn't safe. Thought id mention it. Thanks for any info on Portage.
