The premise of the show is enthralling, but like so many of the Animal Planet/Discovery Channel documentary shows they tend to throw in a lot of personal opinions and try to lump it in with factual evidence.
Not saying the show is bad, and fortunately the personal opinions are from scientist and specialist in their fields.
I do applaud the guy who is filming all the rare creatures now in captivity, if for nothing more than to say "This is a photo representation of what WE DESTROYED through inaction and apathy!"
Sadly, with all the geo-political and geo-religious issues we have to contend with, uncontrolled mass extinctions will be a lesser concern.
