The snow stayed north of use but the temp is getting down there.

Ice, or safe ice? Southeast NE (Lincoln, Omaha) will only have four or five weeks of hardwater this year.

That insulated hub I bought will sit unused for a second winter in a row

You gotta head north young man and make that season longer. Five weeks is a good season for safe ice around here. LOL

There are some dandy perch in that lake, even better crappies.

Looking at the forecast for next week looks like single diget temps by the end of the week. Now if they will stay until March!

The lake that is across the street from our High School (that you are not allowed to ice fish on) had a complete layer of ice on it this morning.  It is a smaller lake but it does have depths of 20 feet.  It is still early but it definitely puts me in a better mood.
