http://aksalmonbear.com/product/ak-fish-trap-base-model-black-base-orange-rod-holder/Just ordered a couple of these for Christmas presents. One for the wife and one for my stepson.
I first saw them at the Anchorage Alaska Sportsmans show. It was springtime so I figured I would wait for winter to get a couple of them to test.
The seemed much more robust than my JawJacker.
The base is more solid.
I am going to try them out and will report back with the results. So far I think these are going to work great and the quality seems really good.
I haven't tested them on the ice yet but I sure will after Christmas.
Supposedly a 90% lip hook rate.
Designed and assembled in Alaska.
Anyone use these who can post up a report?
This is a copy of the same post I put in the general section.
Looking for the opinion of some Alaskans on this Alaskan product.
