Reporting Last Trip onto Sunapee Ice, saturday 3/28.
« on: Mar 30, 2015, 09:50 AM »
A friend of mine and I walked out onto Sunapee Saturday morning for one more shot at some lakers.
Im happy to report we found them... a lot of them, but unfortunately we couldn't keep them on our hooks.
I lost 5 fish, one felt like a real good one. My buddy lost 3, and on top of that, we had fish chasing the jigs about every 15 minutes or so, one or two would cruise by and play the game.
Still 2' of ice out in the main lake with nothing more than a little water on top, no snow...
C'mon open water!

Oh yeah, we had a great day. That's why they calls it Fishing!
Tomorrow, my Boss and I are going to sit at the docks at Sunapee going for some salmon. I WILL be bringing the auger and a few jig rods in case they aren't hitting, we will go jig up a few perch at a small pond near by. After tomorrow, its sad to say, Im packing it in until next season.
