eskimo vs strikemaster
« on: Mar 30, 2015, 02:19 PM »
a friend has an eskimo 6" hand auger. a blade broke at the mounting screw. yup. china blades. h got a set of replacement blades. cuts like a dream. I checked his blades and saw that one had broken. the inside end broke about 1/2 inch or so from the inside screw. yup. China blades again. he bought the replacement blades on Amazon. I suggested that he contact the seller and advise them of the broken blade. I checked his blades against my SM Mora blades and they look almost identical. the screw holes look like that may even match up. Does anyone out there know if the SM Mora blades will fit his Eskimo hand auger?

Since you have access to both just try it and see. I have the 6" Eskimo Silvertip and one blade broke 4th time out. They sent me the wrong replacements but they still worked. Then they also sent me the correct replacements. So I now have 2 sets.

use to trade mine in at local bait store. ended up givin me china blades instead of swedish blades. broke 2 sets in two weeks. ordered a set of sweedish blades off ebay last year. harder metal n they hold the edge longer. use my china blades for back ups. never broke a set of swedish blades in all the years i been ice fishing. i use a 8in strikemaster for tips n a 6in nils master for jiggin. good luck. flags up..
