Cool video, the lake never winter kills as far as i know. I live in merritt and ice fish the crap of the lakes around here and have never heard of it winter killing although it is a shallow lake the brookies tend to survive in these lakes better than the rainbows. I fished it once this year in early december, and landed about 15 fish biggest maybe 3 pounds. I have heard of bigger being caught out of there but you know the old story, some peoples 5 pounders are 2.5 pounders. It can shut right off after the morning as you had seen also. Would have liked to meet up with you, i was out today for a hour landed a couple nice bows at a different lake.
