Wolf Lake
« on: Feb 12, 2015, 07:03 AM »
Hey guys, I live in Northwest Indiana and am going to be hitting Wolf Lake this weekend. Looking for perch and crappie. Any tips, advice or general areas to try would be appreciated. If you don't want to post you can PM me. For good info I'm willing to exchange info on my area lakes or maybe I could show you some salmon spots on the creeks or GPS coordinates for willow slough spots. Thanks in advance guys

Work the area just north west of the island by the launch and work the deeper water closet to the island.    Goo luck its been a tough season perchin out there crappie are roaming and are close to the tool road bridge between the two points.  O yeah look out for the pack of coyotes out there. they run all over the ice and are on the  island in burrows.  Feed the gulls any white perch you get because there are millions of 2-3" that feed the walleye.  If you have a camera bring it.  its easier finding the structure northwest of the island that way.  Ocasionally there are Ill pike coming over to the indiana side to feed.  They are very very big.  hope you tie into one of them.  Happy hunting
