how many of you use tubes for ice fishing?
« on: Mar 03, 2015, 09:27 PM »
I'm getting more curious, my friends and I use tubes for lake trout and walleye through the ice. Anyone else even tried for bigger fish? We have had good success, but still messing around w/ them. So far they work better alone w/ no stinger and using a shad fish spray on them.  The flutter style jig heads seem to be working better for lakers. Now I'm not talking panfish tubes, everyone should have them!

Micro Tubes? Play around with them at times during the winter on Perch and Crappie and do OK.  http://www.southernpro.com/store/store_sub.cfm?Category_ID=1  2" Minnow tube isn't bad, fill with scent and get them PO'd. Pinch off a tail piece makes a decent Whip/Bloodworm type
