Jericho Lake
« on: Feb 04, 2016, 08:25 AM »
I'm planning to head up to Berlin on Saturday to fish Jericho Lake. I'm not really equipped for pike, so I plan to spend most of my time jigging for panfish with my new flasher. I'm going to rig up a couple of tipups for pike, just to have out there, but I really have no experience and very little knowledge about catching them.

According to the NH F&G depth map, the lake has crappie. I also found another site that lists white perch. Does Jericho hold white perch? What's the crappie and/or white perch population like? Any Jericho specific tips on finding and hooking the crappie and/or white perch would be appreciated.

I made a trip up there in December before it froze, just to get a feel for the place. It looked like there was plenty of parking in the beach area. I didn't notice if there was any sort of bathroom facilities... Are there portapotties or other restrooms?

Also, if anyone has any idea how the lake has held up to the rain and warmth, I'd appreciate any info.

not to put a negative on the situation but your limited pike techniques are going to fit in with the limited pike...you hear of one or two per winter but there are very few...some decent bass and other junk fish to catch but overall the lake stinks..i grew up in berlin and you are better off to continue north to whitefield or Littleton..im sure you are going to have to piss outside like the rest of us but there will be plenty of parking and I would think the ice made it through the warm spell considering its the coldest place of earth most of the time..good luck and be safe
when chuck norris played golf for money, chuck marked down a hole in zero every time, the golf pro said, "chuck: you can't score zero on a hole." Chuck norris turned towards the man and said, "I'm chuck norris, the man proceeded to pour gas over his body and set himself on fire because that would be less painful than getting roundhouse kicked by chuck norris....chuck norris roundhouse kicked him in the face anyways

I don't mind the negative. Info is info. I'm open to suggestions, but I picked Jericho because of the black crappie. I'm really just looking to get my lines wet and have another go with the new flasher, on thicker ice.

I would go there if that was your choice..if you wanted to stay busy try out forest lake or burns pond in whitefield..no pike but plenty of action usually ...
