Eskimo Wide 1 Inferno Issue
« on: Jan 21, 2015, 09:35 PM »
So I purchased myself this shanty last year cause I loved how the front bar extends to add the extra room. Well a problem that I have been having is the smaller pole that slides into the larger pole starts to bend. I have no clue as to why it is happening. I don't use any force when I expand and contract it. After using it a few times I find myself having to force it back to make it smaller. Has this happened to anyone else? I plan on putting a solid metal pole inside the bar that has been bending and using an epoxy to keep it from moving around.

Don't have the Inferno, just the Wide One. never had this issue. I have noticed you have to make sure that when you collapse it that the square bars are the last to fold in. I've had it where they fold in before trhe round bar and you have to struggle a bit to get it open. Be sure not to step on the bar when exiting either. I have found that Eskimo goes above and beyond if you contact them and explain the problem. Had a rip in one of the Velcro straps holding the tent to the frame (possibly my fault?) and they really took care of me.
Don't fall in. Unless it's a big one.
