Hoping the bite heats up today!
« on: Jan 18, 2015, 02:26 AM »
Heading out first thing this morning to the big lake. Hoping the lakers cooperate. Saw lots on the flasher yesterday but they wouldn't commit to a jig or shiner. Maybe the incoming storm will turn them on. Anyone else heading out?

A better day out there for sure today. A few lakers for the table and the salmon came in and were biting for a bit. Lots of fish were hesitant to bite still. I kept telling myself they were probably monsters so I kept jigging all day. I'll catch those ones eventually! Good day overall. Didn't snap any pictures though. Hope everyone made it home safe.

Camped there once and brought the bikes and my son wanted to ride down to the water. Wow, with those hills the ride to the boat ramp was a workout. So they let you use wheelers through the camp road? Or is there a trail?
