45 min drive for minnows!
« on: Jan 13, 2015, 07:52 AM »
My home lake is in crawford co, none of the bait shops in the area have any minny's.  So, my buddy called me up, said he called around and the closest minnows were in fairview.  This morning I made the drive..... I 90 was a mess! 45 min later I had fatheads and emeralds!!  Nothing says fun like a 90 min round trip for some bait....I went to Bac bait on rt 5, the owner told me Misery bay is all safe 6+ inches, he said he fished the last two days, one good one bad.  He did mention some nice gills. I may fish it this weekend.  Today I am going after some crappie on my home water, hopefully I can locate em.  I may keep a few for dinner if all goes well :P  Time to hit the ice

I drove by the bait shop in Cambridge Springs today around noon and saw a minnow delivery. I think a few places were 'stocked' today.

Bills bait in Cambridge had lots of minnows today but no grubs or waxies. Might have some tomorrow. Nice little tackle shop though, well worth a visit. Check him out!!! Call before you do to make sure he's there 814-720 8275
