Walleye lakes
« on: Jan 13, 2015, 10:01 AM »
I never ice fished for walleys and am curious what you'd pick for say the top five or six public walleye lakes in Lackawanna, Wayne, and Pike counties.  I'd like to catch some but since I never fished for them I don't know what lakes to start trying on besides the Paupack.  Please don't list the same place each time.  Thanks.

Literally  took me 30 seconds to bring up the stocking efforts  on the pa fish commission website. Amazing how many resources there are out there, then if you wanna take it farther you can look up biologist reports and see how many and the size they encounter on surveys.

no lakes in lackawanna were stocked with walleyes since 2000,
Wayne http://fbweb.pa.gov/stocking/WWCWStockingDetailsHistorical_RFP.aspx
pike http://fbweb.pa.gov/stocking/WWCWStockingDetailsHistorical_RFP.aspx

Looks like the pack is king an no surprise there but plenty of eyeballs have been stocked into fairview, promptom, belmont and duck harbor
