5-6 inches on west end last weekend. 3-4 around the springs in the middle. Fishing was slow

Went to Frye last Saturday, 7-8 inches of ice over most of the lake with about 5 inches of snow. We set up just after daylight and fished for 2 1/2 hrs. and then were blown off the lake with 40 MPH gusts and heavy snow. The storm was forecasted to move through around noon but arrived 3 hrs. early.

Used two cameras and saw a few fish but only had 2 light bites and a very few lookers. The water is clear and the fish we did see seemed spooky.

The ice was good.   We talked to a local that had an ATV and he said the bite has been real slow all winter, he caught 2 perch that day and a couple days before that had only caught 6. Hopefully the snow will blow off and the bite will improve.
