My Carnivorous Habit
« on: Jan 02, 2015, 08:39 PM »
Here's the skinny: I get that a lot of regular Waubay-ish fishermen and women are tight lipped and reluctant to share their fishing hot spots. I can appreciate that. The thing about the Waubay/Grenville area I am honestly most interested in is where I should eat. And by eat, I mean a cheeseburger in paradise or a steak. And probably a cold beer from a tap.

If any of you have a good suggestion as far as an eating hot spot, I'd love to hear it. Gotta be a few good establishments around there. Thanks in advance!

There's a little bar restaraunt downtown Webster on the corner. Can't remember the name but they make an awesome steak. The Galley is good. Parebooms across the highway from A$W has good burgers. We just ate there Friday for the first time.

The one downtown on the corner is The New Frontier I believe. Real good food, but we had very slow service. Not much for tap selection there. Bitter Lake lodge south of Waubay has always been good food and service since opening as well.

10 minutes west of webster, truckstop in Bristol, The Hot Spot, ribeye and prime rib are all ive had, wont ever need to order anything else, steak comes on one plate, entire plate of hash browns on the other plate.  cheaper than galley and better in my opinion, dont know why it isn't packed on weekends.  blows the galley steaks out of the water in my opinion.  and it doesn't take an hour and a half to get your food.

Might have something to do with all the ice fishermen not wanting to drive very far if at all after their meal and beverages... ;D

Clausen's Steak house on the west side of Pickeral Lake is an excellent choice....Great food and drinks.

I will also agree with G8r Slayer, the hot spot is the only spot. The steaks are awesome, service is great, and drinks are stiff.

The HOT Spot in Bristol is the best. As said before the New Frontier is always good but they are always slow. The Bitter Lake Lodge is a nice pace but the food is nothing to brag about. If around on Wednesdays one could go up to Eden for wing night, good wings, and a good time.

The Galley has decent food also.

I live in the Webster area, the HOT Spot is worth the drive.

Hey jbuss, not much in the way of perch at the house tonight, but I do have a juicy tri-tip working in the smoker if you're interested!  ;)
