Ice at owldorado

Has anyone fished owldorada? Whats the ice like? I'm going to try it this weekend just wondering if anyone has all ready hit it.

I fished it Saturday afternoon ice was fairly uniform @ 4 to 6 inches

very nice,thanks for the report.   I heard there was a spring over by the north east corner by the over flow is that true? And was it good clear ice?

Ice was crystal clear. I did hear running/moving water over that way in the morning, I have seen an open spot in that general direction but usually steer clear of that area

Ok thanks. There being a spring over there would make good sense because the water is usually crystal clear. Is the water still clean?

I fished it Friday Jan 2. Ice was around 5" but we did find an area under some snow that only had 2-2 1/2". We fished for 6 hours and only caught 2 crappie between the 3 of us, one of the slowest days I have had there. Water clarity was only a little over a foot so that didn't help. The spring is NOT on the northeast corner by the spillway, it is over around the Southwest area just north of the dam around 50' out and not far off the fence line. That place can be really deceiving so stay safe and don't go alone!
